CHO-PCO Annual Ontario Heritage Conferences

As the Provincial Heritage Organization, representing Municipal Heritage Committees throughout the Province of Ontario, CHO welcomes delegates from far and near, to the annual conferences. 2019 was the 27th edition of the OHC sponsored by CHO. Organizing and planning this conference is in no small part due to the dedication and skills of the Local Conference Committee, its Volunteers, and Municipality.

Each year the theme reflects our reality; making the case for heritage preservation. It goes without saying that, this annual all-important event, is the single most effective way to share our collective knowledge, experience, and concerns. The Speakers at each annual conference, share with us all, factual, proven information and methodologies, that are either not easily available (outside the conference) or are difficult to collate. Private citizens and politicians alike, gain from these experiences. Our Heritage and History Conservation gains by the appreciation this generates, for as that song goes, “You don’t know what you’ve got until it's gone”!
